IMPROV.RES
	FOUND.RES + BETTER.PDU. These files were restored on 2 Jan 80,
improving earlier restorations for some files and generating the
first restorations for the remaining files. All these files were
restored from P1830 through P1836 (dumped just before the crash).
POOR.LST
directory info for files listed in BETTER, for checking to make
sure that all were restored by DART.
FOUND.RES
FOUND.PDU minus files that we didn't want to restore (e.g., old
irrelevant ACT,SYS data files, plus files recently reaped).
PDATA.PDU
list of files in 7/8 of the P dump that was completed at the time
of the crash (made from the P0nnnn.LST file, which itself was made
by TLISTing the tapes and regenerating the ALLDIR.MEM file).
The files listed here include some that disappeared completely in
	the crash.
FOUND.PDU
list of files in PDATA that didn't exist when this list was made.
Most of these were probably lost completely in the crash, and were
never restored. Others had been deleted before the crash (possibly
reaped in the "7/8" P-dump or the following one).
CHECK.PDU (319 files)
list of files written since dumped onto the 7/8 P-dump. Some of these
files on tape might contain extra info not in the recently-changed
(e.g., edited since the recovery) file.
BETTER.PDU
list of files whose dump date on the 7/8 P-dump is more recent than
the date of the file existing at the time this list was made. These
files could presumably be restored to a later version than that
previously restored, just by restoring from this P-dump. Note: Do
not restore these files from ANY BUT THIS 7/8 P-DUMP! Later dumps
may contain the previously-restored, actually-older, version.
GONE.PAR
files from SEEK that were never dumped in any version
but that were only partially damaged in the crash
GONE.ALL
files from SEEK that were never dumped in any version
and that were total losses in the crash
DART.LST
list (made by DRECK in DART) of files from ALLDIR.MEM (now ALLDIR.BMM)
and ALLDIR.OLD that couldn't be found on disk (some failed by
protection violation). Supposedly these had both data and UFD entry
lost (but some were just read protected).
CATLOG.TAP
list of all files found on the dead pack after the retrieval was
	reconstructed, sorted by tape.
CATLOG.NAM
list of all files found on the dead pack after the retrieval was
reconstructed, sorted by PPN and then filename.
PARTIA.LOS
list of all files only partially lost in the crash (169 files)
MRESTO.DUN
	master list of files that were restored from tape (or from old disk);
output by hacked MRESTO listing of DART (type altmode to listing
	question) using as input an ALLDIR = ALLDIR.NEW + LOCATE.1 + LOCATE.2
	(6896 files).

UNFIXF.LOG
list of files still on dead pack with whole groups containing zeroes.
These are files that were not restorable, plus any files we had not
yet restored at the time the list was made.
DART.LST[CSD,REG]
list (made by DRECK in DART) of files from ALLDIR.MEM (now ALLDIR.BMM)
and ALLDIR.OLD that couldn't be found on disk (some failed by
protection violation) AFTER MOST FILES HAD BEEN RESTORED. Thus
files that were originally included in DART.LST[MUD,SYS] because
they really didn't exist on the disk had reappeared before this list
was made, so this list includes (primarily?): (1) files that were
read-protected when the original DART.LST was made and (2) files
that could not be restored from any tapes, plust (3) a few files
that were restored from the last few P tapes. Files in (2) should
	appear in GONE.ALL.
MRESTO.T2
text of ALLDIR.D2, all on one big page, with entries sorted,
	duplicates eliminated
MRESTO.TXT
text of ALLDIR.D2, all on one big page
MRESTO.D2
text of ALLDIR.D2, one page per tape
ALLDIR.DAT
currently a copy of ALLDIR.D2 for doing the MRESTORE.
ALLDIR.D2
	LOCATE.N2 + ALLDIR.D1N
LOCATE.N2
LOCATE.2 files less the entries for P tapes BEFORE P1638.
SPLIT.SAI
program to split an ALLDIR.DAT-format file into two parts depending
on the tape numbers of the entries. The algorithm for splitting
is compiled in, but easily changed with recompiling.
ALLDIR.D1N
ALLDIR.D1 files less the entries for T-tapes, which had already
	been restored from (by RPG)
DISK.2
command list for getting from April disk the files that would
otherwise have needed restoring from P-dumps made before the
6 Apr 80 disk copy, for files listed in SEEK.2. I.e., files
from LOCATE.2 whose best dump tape was from P1 through P1637.
MRESTO.2
	text of LOCATE.2
LOCATE.2
LOCATE.BIN data for files listed in SEEK.2
SEEK.2
	last 1/3 of SEEK
SEEK.
filenames lost from UFDs (found in ALLDIR.MEM and ALLDIR.OLD) plus
known damaged files whose latest version was never dumped.
This file was made by combining DART.LST and NEVER.
MRESTO.1
	text of ALLDIR.D1
ALLDIR.D1
	LOCATE.N1 + ALLDIR.N1
LOCATE.N1
is LOCATE.1 data for files from P1638 on up and all T-tapes.
ALLDIR.N1
subset of ALLDIR.NEW for tapes P1638 through P1800
DISK.1
command list for getting from April disk the files that would
otherwise have needed restoring from P-dumps made before the 6 Apr
80 disk copy, but this list only includes files from the first 2/3
of SEEK. That is, files from the first 2/3 of SEEK (via LOCATE.1)
whose best dump tape was from P1 through P1637.
LOCATE.T1
	text of LOCATE.1
ALLTXT.NEW
	text version of ALLDIR.NEW
LOCATE.1
renamed LOCATE.BIN output from RATS on first 2/3 of SEEK.
RATS.
version of DART which writes a LOCATE.BIN file everytime you give
it a LOCATE command. LOCATE.BIN is in form for MRESTORE command
to read (as an ALLDIR.DAT file).
NEVER
files from CATLOG.TAP whose latest version was not dumped
ALLDIR.BMM
renamed ALLDIR.MEM file for the P-dump in progress at time of
crash. Has holes (data lost in crash) in it for information on
	tapes P1831,2,4,5.
ALLDIR.NEW
original version of ALLDIR.DAT created for MRESTORE by Ralph, from
data in ALLDIR.MEM and ALLDIR.OLD. This file was made from CATLOG.BIN
	and LOCATE.1 (I think).
CATLOG.BIN
names and tapes (in ALLDIR.DAT format) of all damaged files whose
latest version was known backed up on tape, made along with CATLOG.TAP
and CATLOG.NAM by reading the (reconstructed) retrieval on the dead
	pack.
ALLDIR.OLD
ALLDIR.DAT file from last P-dump that finished, prior to the crash.
PROT.VIO
Typeout from DIR @ DART.LST[CSD,REG], indicates which files were
not found because of protection violations when ...
